Black Light

I'm going home cause I have lost the sense
Of independence and reality
And meet me outside the station, don't forget the placement
Of the date, I'm coming home today
Don't listen to a word I say
The last ten years were hell
Ready for ten more?
When you constantly feel alone
I'm alone
And lonely like I've got so much to hide
And trapped in mind and time
Shapes come in to sight
Within this body I'm just a burning black light
With no sense of right or purpose
Losing a fight that's almost certain
And the only thing that lasts eternal
Are the shakes that come from nervous persons
And I don't know if this is worth it
Things always seem to worsen
So maybe I'll make a clean break from it
I refuse to die a nervous person

Prison Love Letters
03:46
|
|
||
Darling, I don't know how to tell you
That everything I ever do is inherently for my own sake
And I'm still drowning anyway
There's gotta be an easy way to do this
Isn't that the whole point?
But I'm losing days to boredom, pain and isolation
And you can ask questions but I don't have the answers
But we've killed a man so in crime are we partners?
And maybe we'll escape the cops till summer
But then we'll be sending each other prison love letters
And I'm feeling
Somethings not quite right
Because the wind is blowing harder than it ever had to before
But I reinforced these walls
And I boarded up the windows
So I'll be fine so long as I keep and eye on the foundations
And you can ask questions but I don't have the answers
But we've killed a man so in crime are we partners?
And maybe we'll escape the cops till summer
But then we'll be sending each other prison love letters
And I've got my steel walls and a heavy door to a panic room
Where I've got enough food to keep me alive for years
But there's so little in point in that and I can't open this door
So I've got no more conversation and not a single person exists in this room anymore
And you can ask questions but I don't have the answers
But we've killed a man so in crime are we partners?
And maybe we'll escape the cops till summer
But I won't expect to get anymore love letters

I'm sitting here with my notebooks open
I'm trying to think of any words to say
I'm losing the will to lose my mind
But that's the price the artist pays
And words can flow with power and they can give control
I haven't either since last year
But we're inching closer with each and every moment
To death and being born again
So let the strings ring out and let's sing ourselves hoarse
If you've got nothing to lose but time then lets not waste it
And it's nice to know you're by my side through the ringing in my ears
But I understand if you gotta go
So we're sitting outside a diner, smoking in the dawn
I barely remember what city we're in
Cause they all look the same when they're days apart
And I've had the same breakfast every night
A healthy balance consisting of
Lozenges, clock watching and powders
We tried to be sane before that show one time
And everyone thought we'd lost our minds
So let the strings ring out and let's sing ourselves hoarse
If you've got nothing to lose but time then lets not waste it
And it's nice to know you're by my side through the ringing in my ears
But I understand if you gotta go
And none of this is how we were told
It's sweaty, painful and uncomfortable
But just remember the moment we're home
We'll be sleeping on our floors by choice
So let the strings ring out and let's sing ourselves hoarse
We've got nothing to lose but time then lets not waste it
And it's nice to know you're by my side through the ringing in my ears
But I understand if you gotta go
I understand if you gotta go
I understand if you gotta go
I understand if you gotta go

Emotional Showman (Demo)
03:43
|
|
||
Picture me if you please held together by patchwork seams
But always seeming to make it to play the part
Of the emotional showman who could fill the role
Of composer, conductor and patchwork doll
Standing here and singing from my stitched up heart
And it's made me oh so tired, trying to figure out the meaning of this
With the punks and the scholars, the poets and philosophers all claiming the perfect kiss
So forgive a little confusion in the course of tonight's illusions
Your host is feeling a little under the weather
I'm selling out
I've got nothing else to lose and I might be going insane
And when I go, my darling
I'll try to kill you last
Picture me if you please on a pilgrimage through my history
Communing with a broken piece of soul that's been oh so lost and alone
And I ran into an ashen shadow with piercing blue eyes
He didn't say much but by that point I knew I could never go home
I'm selling out
I've got nothing left to prove and I might've gone insane
And when I go, my darling
Do you promise to hold me close?
Why we do this I don't think any of us know
There's just this hunger driving me to go
Why we do this I don't think anybody knows
There's just this hunger driving me to go
Why we do this I don't think any of us know
There's just this hunger driving me to go
Why we do this I don't think any of us know
There's just this hunger driving me to go
I'm selling out
I've got nothing else to lose and I've definitely gone insane
And when I go, my darling
I'll see you at the end of all this noise
I'll see you at the end of all this noise
There's so much fucking noise
And so much to destroy
See you at the end of all this noise
